R20 Asia Pacific

R20 Asia-Pacific was established by the end of 2013, based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The R20 Asia Pacific recognizes the importance of Indonesia, one of the leading nations in the global economic and its achievement of a successful decentralized autonomous system.

The R20 Asia Pacific has developed good relationship with the ASEAN, its member states plus Japan, Korea, India including neighboring countries within the Indian Ocean, Central Asia, Australia and Oceania to continuously introduce pro-eco-tech approach to the local governments and businesses and work closely with academics to combat the climate change.

R20 Asia Pacific has attained partnership with businesses, financial institution and academics to help identify and communicate solutions for a safe and clean economy for the beneficial of local developments by connecting Regions, Technology, and Finance to build sustainable low-carbon projects.

R20 Asia Pacific provides routine training and capacity building at all levels to motivate awareness and appropriate consumption to save the planet from depletion including the rehabilitation of mining areas, reforestation and building community care for environmental approach.

The R20 Asia-Pacific office operates by its own resources and contributions from independent stakeholders committed to climate change and sustainable developments.

R20 Asia Pacific focuses on activities such the waste management, green transportation, new & renewable energy and clean water initiative in partnership with public & private sectors.

R20 In Brief

R20 ‘Regions of Climate Action’ is an international organization founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger on 2010. It is head-quartered in Geneva, Switzerland, neutral politically and non-denominational. R20 is committed to help states, provinces, cities, regions and local governments to develop, implement and communicate low-carbon and climate resilient economic development programs towards the global environmental benefits as well as local economic benefits in the form of reduced energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, engaged local economies, create new green jobs and improve public health.

R20 Asia Pacific Staff and Office

Regions20 Asia-Pacific office is located at Jakarta, Indonesia, the headquarter of the ASEAN Secretariat. Strategically located in the equator between the Indian and Pacific ocean, Indonesia is an archipelago of over 17.000 islands, and is home of the world's largest tropical rain forest and nature bio-diversity both on land and in the ocean.

To facilitate and bring together local authorities, technology providers and investors within the regions, Regions20 Asia-Pacific works closely with the Regions20 head quarter and its regional offices worldwide.
